Known as Africa's Grandest Gathering, Love Yourss was brought in by ByBento to form part of a 15-creator crew covering the entirety of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival across 4 days.

How we executed the project

We came in as part of a 15-creator crew brought together by ByBento to cover a festival that has hosted more than 2,000 South African and 1,600 international artists since its inception. For an event of that magnitude, we knew the outcome would come down to pre-production discipline more than raw talent on the day. The ByBento team built a pre-production portal to guide the crew across the 4 days. Covering a sold-out Cape Town International Convention Center with 25,000 plus attendees over 4 days is not something you can improvise.

We delivered a total of 10 social-first reels, each centred on a different facet of what the event actually felt like: the atmosphere, the culture, the people, and the music. We shot and edited every one of them on site to be distributed on a tight schedule as the day progressed.

Under ByBento's leadership, alongside Roy Potterill and Thoban Jappie, the festival amassed over 1 million views, more than 156,000 accounts reached, and 99.1% organic performance in 4 days.
