Sculpt Pilates Studio Launch Campaign

985,000 views before anyone had taken a class.

Sculpt is a Pilates studio in Cape Town. Unlike most businesses, a studio can't build demand gradually. It opens with a fixed number of reformers, a full weekly timetable and rent running from day one, which means the schedule has to fill immediately or it starts costing money. Class inventory is perishable in a way stock isn't. An unsold product waits on a shelf. An empty 6am spot is revenue that disappears the moment the hour passes, and it happens again the next morning, and the one after that.

How we executed the project

We started with the commercial problem, not the aesthetic one. The brief was never brand awareness in the abstract, it was bookings, and that changes what you produce. But it also ran into a harder problem: the thing that makes Sculpt worth its price is the thing a screen can't carry. You can't photograph a scent. So the content had to reproduce the feeling of the room through everything around it, the pace, the light, the texture, the sound, and let a viewer arrive at the experience before they arrived at the door. Alongside that, we mapped what a first-time booker actually needs to see before committing, which is the room, the equipment, the instructor, and the feeling of a class they have never taken. Most people who haven't done reformer Pilates are quietly intimidated by it, so the content had to remove hesitation as much as build desire. We planned the launch as the beginning of a content ecosystem rather than a moment to capture, specifying every asset before the doors opened so the opening would produce a library instead of a highlight reel.
We documented the launch event itself, capturing the studio at the only point in its life when a new space is genuinely an occasion. Around it we built the wider library the brand still runs on: the studio and its spaces, shot to carry atmosphere rather than inventory, the classes in motion, and the instructor content, which does the heaviest commercial work. All of it was produced as one system rather than a series of shoots, so a single body of work could carry the website, the social channels and the paid media at once. The first piece out of that build reached 985,000 views. For a single studio in one city with no following behind it, that isn't a launch post. That's a market finding out a place exists and deciding it wants in.
From there we turned the library into distribution. We create the paid media content that pushes traffic straight into the booking flow, cutting the asset base into ad-native formats built to convert rather than repurposed organic posts, and we produce the content that lives across the website, where a first-time visitor decides whether this is a studio they belong in. Because the ecosystem was built before the opening, every new campaign draws on a foundation that already exists instead of starting from zero. A year in, the studio runs over 100 classes a week and its members call themselves Sculptors. The content didn't just announce an opening. It gave people something to join.
