V&A Waterfront Tenant Awards

Overview

Turning one night of recognition into a content ecosystem across one of Africa’s most visited destinations

The V&A Waterfront generates over R140 million in profit a month and 25 million visitors a year — driven largely by its tenants, the brands and businesses that give the precinct its identity. The Neighbourhood Awards were created to recognise that contribution, and we worked alongside the V&A marketing team to make sure the platform did more than celebrate for one night.

Instead of treating it as a single event, we built a full post-event content ecosystem: a narrative film for every category winner, full event coverage, a highlight film, a testimonial montage, event photography, and a complete asset pack for winners and the V&A to deploy across their own channels heading into festive season. Recognition became content. Content became something the winners could actually use to drive footfall and sales.
